April 18, 2012so there is some oil on the rear of the block before the bellhousing. It isnt a drip but lots of oil apotted all over the rear 3 inches of the oil pan and bout the same on the bellhousing. Its not from the valve cover or heads, i looked and the block is dry all the way up. It looks as if it is coming from the rear of the oil pan almost where it butts up near the bellhousing. When i replaced the clutch about 4k miles ago we replaced the rear mail seal with a cummins seal installed by a mechanic who is very good. The oil pan was replaced before i got the truck approx 20k ago and i can see the black sealant where it contacts the block. Could the rear bolts of oil pan have come loose and whats thechance the rear main seal is bad? When we replaced it it was only weeping a very little bit but i still replaced it just to be safe. My clutch is not slipping and just looking the friction surfaces and what i can see of the clutch are completly dry. Any input or ideas what it could be? And btw I know i post on here alot, but i need help alot. Sorry if im overposting or irritating people. Thanks in advance god bless.

April 18, 2012Most likely its the crancase vent tubes leaking a little oil. Very common but without seeing it I don`t know what it is.
