I have a stack,aFe intake and intake manifold that already has the ports drilled, and the edge juice with attitude. its a 5.9l cummins 4x4 6pspeed and i have a dual disc clutch. Ill be turning 37`` tires and want alot of power. Anyone install these? is it good for the money or should i do other mods? please let me know. Thank you

January 27, 2012What year? I would wait on water/meth until you are really needing to get your egts down, unless your running over 1350 all the time I would be looking at other stuff for power. Depending on what you are wanting out of your truck I would start with injectors and a turbo.

I am very happy with 450RWHP on my truck running 37" and pulling an 11,000 pound toy hauler. If I ever wanted to go higher I would need things like a new turbo(s), injectors, head studs, cam, water/meth and so on. These are the expensive mods. The first chunk of HP come fairly inexpensively.
January 31, 2012id like to get up to the 600hp mark but its gonna be a slow process. And my egts get high (1350) and higher when im on level 5 and getting into it. It has the 6 speed so my gears are really short and if i could stay in it longer and stay cooler i could get a little more out of it. I will eventually be doing a new turbo but not in the immediate future. Id buy the hot unlock code and that with water meth should give me a decent chunk of power right? i aslo saw that it would increase mileage too and thatd be nice. I will be doing injectors and turbo but first (after water meth) ill do a fuel pump, then turbo then injectors. Does any of this make sense? i appreciate the input. Thanks.
February 2, 2012When you do,add new head studs and head gasket.Those are the weak links doing those mods,just a thought.........

Your a long way from doing studs, don`t get the wagon before the horse. Honestly if it was me, I would do injectors, turbo, and then depending on year it would change some orders.
February 17, 2012Its a 2005. And injectors and such are really expensive and take alot. I am looking at water/meth because its relatively cheap and will keep my egt`s down, because i have power, i just cant stay on the gas cuz i start hitting 1400 and that makes me cringe. So, to me, i thought the water meth`s 70 hp and 250 degree cooler egts would be a beneficial.
February 17, 2012Its worth a shot, I would turn down the chip if I was you, these trucks are powerful enough stock, set it on the lowest level you need and go from there. I would start looking for a turbo if you don`t want to do injectors (I know they are expensive, I have to replace all of them in my 06).
February 18, 2012I wouldn`t do it, i pull my Toyhauler and drive using the EGT gage. Water/Meth is another thing to go wrong and make a mess out of your motor. Just my humble opinion.

Or 1&2 together then 3&4 together then 5 immediately following the 3&4. Your case this seems to be an optimal order of mods. Listen to mopar and turn down that chip, you dont really need that much power all the time. Try level 1-2 and keep those egt`s down. On the weekend turn it up for a day then play. That much power everyday/all day..... I would not recommend that!
March 15, 2012ok an exhaust question now. tore all the exhaust off to put on a 5`` turbo back kit. ran into a problem. The kit has to go off the cast elbow immediatly after the turbo. I cannot find a new clamp to clamp the new exhaust to the elbow. The one on there was welded to the clamp and the cmalp tightened onto the cast elbow. Is thet what i should do? Id have to mock it all up then chalk a line from the new pipe onto the elbow, then take them both off, weld the clamps edges onto the new pipe then tighten it to the elbow right? thats the method i figured. Any suggestions? Its a diamond eye kit and has to go off the holset elbow after the turbo. Been installing lift all day so im fried as to how im gonna do that. I need help lol. Somebody please give me some tips thank you!
