September 6, 2011Yesterday my engine cut out like someone turned off a light switch. My battery still has plenty of juice, all my electronics still work, and there is absolute quiet when I turn the ignition (no clicking or anything). It won`t take a jump so I am left to figuring it must be a computer problem or something like that. Is there an ignition fuse? Any help is appreciated...

September 7, 2011It helps if you list specifics about your truck.
But on a guess...no clicking could be the ignition switch or a neutral saftey switch.

September 8, 2011How did you test the battery? It`s completely possible battery still has juice to run the accessories and read 12V but the battery must be tested under load with a multimeter. If you have dead cell the truck won`t run and act dead and will it will be unjumpable. These PCM`s are very particular on correct voltage to stay running. My guess is the issue is the battery even though you think it`s not. If it`s original you are past due. Maybe you could borrow one to see.
September 8, 2011Nope!! Go to Autozone for a load test.
September 9, 2011It turns out to be a faulty PCM (covered by the warranty). In the shop for a few days....
