January 20, 2011I occasionally pull trailers with trailer brakes but I don`t have the brake module. I have the tow package option on my truck and wanted see what you towing guys would had to say about the different types of Brake modules.

GO FAST AND LOOK GOOD DOING IT!
April 1, 2011Tekonsha makes several good ones. Priced according to features. I have a relatively basic one and it works just fine.
May 30, 2011I`ve got a pretty basic one from farm and home for my 2500, it has the manual control and also works off of the truck brakes. My thing is as long as i can adjust the sensitivity of both thats all i need. I bought one from walmart and i took it back, it wasn`t set up to have the manual feature. You don`t really need anything crazy fancy, just something that works for you. Definitely something you have to play around with to get used to it. The best/safest way to get used to it is empty and not on a busy road.
Take it easy, and good luck. DODGE=THE GOOD $H1T
May 30, 2011I have a simple Tekonsha one as well and it works just fine. It has an adjustment for sensitivity and of course you can still activate them manually if you want/need to stop quicker in an emergency. I think the one I have was about $100

May 31, 2011Max Brake is one of the best but for occasional towing the Prodigy works well for me.
