August 30, 2009Does anyone that has a leather interior or anyone that had a cloth interior and now has a leather interior have any pics? I'm looking at going from cloth to leather and i'm wondering how hard is it? How much does it cost? Is it best to have a auto uhpolstery shop do it or can i do it myself? Also has anyone changed their headliner to match their leather seats?

August 30, 2009Do it yourself and save $100s. If you buy a kit get a Katskin kit. They have some kind of agreement with Dodge and you can get upgrades for free. It's the kit that the majority of interior shop install. Most Dodge parts guys don't know about the special so call Art @ Henson Motorsports-parts dept (800.530.5337). He will get you the best price (around $800 or so shipped) and he will make sure you get the right kit.
I didn't have any guidance, but once I figure out how everything is assembled it's pretty simple. My truck is a 06 with a floor mounted center console so that is really the only difference in our seats. I heard your install is a little harder because of the center seat. Here is a How-to from another site that will walk you through the whole thing. This thread gives additional guidance just for the center seat. Click on the link he gives at the beginning to get to the full install.
September 9, 2009I'm looking at getting the srt 10 seats, hould have said that in my orignal post. Now the problem i ran into is that my local dealer said dodge doesn't sell the seats. They sell all the piece to put the seats together but no complete seats. So where's a good place to get a pair? I've checked a few local wrecking yards with no luck and nothing at the moment on ebay.
September 10, 2009They are hard to find. Just as I was installing my Katskins I found a complete 06 set on Ebay. Front and rear with center console and door panels for $1350 + shipping. You would want the 04-05 SRT seats.
If you piece them together from the dealer it will cost you thousands. I looked into it. Just for the 06 driver's seat bottom cover it's $575. I would still need the other seat bottom, both seat back covers, the whole seat back assembly for both seats (over $700 each), headrests, headrest covers and seat bottom foam for both seats. The good news it you can re-use your seat bottom frame.
Here's a set. You could have a upholstery shop make new covers if needed for about $1500. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Ram-SRT-10-Viper-Truck-Seat-Set-OEM-L-K-And-ave_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em20Q2el1116QQhashZitem2a0024c31aQQitemZ180391035674QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
