March 17, 2011I had to trim the front fenders door side to accommodate for the larger, fatter Swamper SSR tires without rubbing. I didn`t want to go up because I wanted the tires to fill the fenders. Also I wanted to keep the factory edge so it looked factory when we were done. I had Dan with Morrow Collision help me do this.
So we needed to trim back 1 1/2" and up 12" to a point like a triangle.
First we taped off the area to trim and cut it out.
Then pushed the factory edge in to meet the other side clamped it with vice grips while we welded it together.
We then grinded down the welds,
Then sanding and primed all surfaces.
Painted and added the clear coat. Now you can`t even tell we trimmed it back almost 2 inches.
