January 21, 2011Hi all.
I just finished installing my Airdog on the 03 CTD. Just a couple questions.
1. I cant start my truck just yet because I am waiting on a new turbo back exhaust and I have the entire system removed. But I did turn the ignition key to On to cycle the airdog system for the first time. Is it normal for the pump to run for about 30-35 seconds before it shuts off? I know my 06 with the stock in tank pump only ran for a few seconds. On my 03 I took off the OEM fuel canister pump and replaced it with the airdog because it was noisy and ran for a long time. However, I noticed some people on Youtube seem to run for a long time too? Just wondering if this is normal?
2. I have a vacuume pump for an exhaust brake right above the CP3 banjo bolt so I had to leave this and the factory line going to the stock fuel canister in place. I was sent another fitting from airdog that allows my supply line to run to the stock canster. Is this an OK setup to run if I am not getting crazy with Horsepower? And when I crack the banjo bolt on the pump to bleed the air it blows fuel all over the place. Im not sure if I am bleeding the air out correctly and what should I do before I start the engine?
Thanks for all the help.
