That's exactly what I do.
July 27, 2008I use the tire foam in plastic part of the wheel wells but it is much cheeper and just as easy to use black paint on the under carriage. It is only a dollar a can at the dollar store and you can either use gloss *or* flat depending on what look you want...however i wouldn''t use this on the engine haha
December 6, 2008You should cover the alltenator when washing I never used to till one time it got some dirt in to the bushings and had to have it rebuilt, now I cover it with a plastic bag.
December 6, 2008Last yr,*or* the yr before, one of the DTW members posted a how to from www.lincolnsonline.com,it was very useful for daily drivers and easy to do, end results were more than could be believed from something so simple to do.The detail shop at work started using it and still do to this day,and some of the rides that come in for trade are kind of nasty under the hood, but this method is effective with little effort.

After you cover the filter spray down the engine compartment with APC and scrub with the boars hair brush. I usually start the engine before I rinse it off. As far a dressing the engine compartment up, I use Adam''''s In and Out Spray. That stuff is like gold but they no longer sell it. As far as the wheel wells go, Invisible Undercarriage Spray works awesome and in the long run, it''s cheaper then tire foam. Just my
