September 22, 2011When I`m not working or at a Calif GTG I can be found day or night working on rebuilding my HO scale railroad empire. In 1998 when I moved from my house into a trailer I had to put everything into storage. In 2010 I finally got back into a house with a nice 11X16 garage. When I brought my railroad stuff to be put back together I found all the track and switches had corroded so I have had to rebuild all the tables. Good thing was out of all the 175 locomotives only 2 went bad. So far all the 375 rolling stock still operates great.
I have all the lower tables done and have 2 trains running at this time.
Southern Pacific on a "A" main and BNSF running on the "B" main. I am in the process of building a 65 foot long grade from the lower deck to the top deck. This part is very time consuming I have to get the grade just right so my 30 car coal or grain trains can climb and descend the grade with no runaways. Presently I have close to 200ft of track laid. I still have to build the top deck before the building will stop. It`s a good thing this place has great insulation between me and my neighbors so I can work non stop around the clock.
