November 14, 2006on teh recent revisit they did liek 3 weeks ago, they used a dakota with a meter on teh fuel sending unit. They tested tailgate up, tailgate down, net, no tailgate at all, and tanue cover. All tests were done on teh same day with the same truck with no traffic on the same road. Tests were ocnduted at verying road speeds and during exceleration.
They proved conclusivly that the most fuel efficiant way to drive a truck is with the tailgate up the way nature intended. Second best is teh net thing but same results were found without a tailgate so its kind of a moot point.
